Maybe you are one of those who has looked into the church to get a glimpse of love, and instead, found division, strife, condemnation, and self-righteous judgment. Maybe you have been friends with those who call on the name of Christ and yet their lives are filled with anxiety and fear instead of peace and rest. Please be willing to take another look. Although we, as Christians, have held truth within our hands, layers of wrong belief and unbelief have corrupted that truth. I want to be very careful not to be misunderstood. In this book, I am not making a case for a special brand of Christianity that creates two classes of Christians. I deliver this message with a lot of passion and conviction; thus, I am aware that a reader can walk away with this perception, but it is not my heart. My passion is an expression of my love for God, His truth, and His people. I believe that walking by faith, under the total control of the Holy Spirit, is God’s desire for all of His children. In addition, it is not something that you “get” and then have forever. No! It is a belief system that must be maintained moment by moment, hour by hour, minute by minute, and thought by thought. It is a constant, life-long battle that is rife with enemies and all manners of lofty, arrogant, and self-serving ideas that are raised up against the true knowledge of Christ. My prayer is that, as you read this book, you will be open to discover the areas in which you have not only listened to but believed the lies of the enemy and now choose to believe the truth. Therefore, as you read, please continually ask God to reveal to you His truth and ask Him to help you in any area of unbelief.
